Additional topics under consideration are US specimen coins and sets, paper money and world coin sessions. New members are welcome to join us directly, or by contacting the Regina Public Library and asking for program information. Open to ages 8 to 16. Members and new members who attend the April and October meetings during the Regina Coin Club's coin show are eligible to receive coins and perhaps other numismatic items or information. At these meetings, interested potential new members are invited to sit in on our regular meeting and special attention will be made to introduce you to the great hobby of coin collecting. Coin collecting can be a low-cost past time, and with time and experience, you can build a lifetime of enjoyment. Just think of all the 2010 Olympic-themed coins in your packet change now. This alone can make for fun and interesting collecting for any age. We encourage members to show and tell of newly acquired coins or items at all our meetings, and welcome all questions about the hobby, specific coins or items. At last December's meeting, we elected a new President for 2010, who will help share in the duties of chairing the meetings. Come meet J.J. at our next meeting! Each attendee must have a parent or responsible adult attend as well. Most parents who bring their children also enjoy learning from the educational sessions and interact with the group as well. This is a great place for history buffs, and we accept any help you might lend to the club. A small parent council is also involved. As we do often have hand out materials at meetings, assistance with our printing cost is provided by CONEXUS CREDIT UNION. Click here to see a sample of program presentation. We find many of the local coin dealers generous with giving free coins and materials for our meetings, and we thank the coin community for their support. And finally, as members turn 16, and finish their last season with the CoinHawks, they receive a free one year membership to the Regina Coin Club for the following year to encourge their continuation with the hobby.
